Its almost 24 hours after I had my Happy Mcdonald's Sausage Muffin $2 meal x2. And I'm beginning to feel better after the endoscope, but to be more precise, its a cystoscope.

And what is a cystoscope procedure leh? You can read here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cystoscopy

Or you continue reading on where I'll give an explicitly detailed account of my "once in a lifetime" opportunity of cystoscopy. Luckily everything is normal for me (damn it la, shouldn't have go for it lor)

The total time spent in the hospital is about 2 hours while the scope procedure only takes about 10 minutes.

With the regular waiting at hospital and after all the administrative procedures, my turn came and off I went to the surgical room. The room was cold and lights were pretty dim and it made me sleepy. I was asked to lie on the bed and remove my bottoms and they covered it with some cloth. If you didn't read the link, they are going to take photos of my bladder using a tube-like device that have camera, light and can fill water, 3 in one la through the urethra. Yes, its not through the asshole, its through the penis (=kukubird = kkb which I'm gonna use it later on), the urethra then the ureters and finally the bladder. YUCKS LA!! Really shouldn't have went.

Then I was still lying there, feeling cold and nervous and I asked the nurse why so long la. And she explained that its because they are waiting for the scope to come. Doctors/Nurses are all on standby, the main lead is not here yet.

Initially it was only 1 doc and 1 nurse. After about 15 minutes lying there, then suddenly ar, more nurses came, bringing the main lead in. And everything happened so fast. The nurse then say, going to expose you le ar. Then I replied orh, there's nothing much to say la.

Here comes the disgusting part.

The doctor first used some sort of cloth soaked in cleaning agent and cleaned the tip of my kkb and he like cannot be gentler la, clean also clean so rough. And he cleaned like 4 or 5 times lor. That's the starting point where I experienced the discomfort.

After which he took a needle filled with transparent liquid which I guess it's the anesthetic and I like "wah" la and before I knew it, he filled the liquid into the kkb tip. Luckily its not inject la. I thought he was gonna inject at that time.

And again, before I knew it. He started inserted the tube in le lor... I was quite tensed up and the people keep asking me to relax, machiam give birth to baby la. Then I took long breath ins and outs. Then I felt some liquid coming out, weird. And I was somehow squeuling and yanking and also laughing. "Yeah, you are doing good but you are enjoying it ar? " said the doc. NO lor, its super pain and uncomfortable la!!! And I began relaxing as the tube was already inside me (you all watch batman le mah? just like the joker put a telephone inside the criminals stomach la) and I can feel the my bladder contracting.

They took a few photos and off the tube came off and my bladder feels quite full now. They asked me to clean myself put on my bottoms and follow the nurse out. I felt pretty fine then but after about 5 minutes. I felt like going to the toilet to pee. After pee-ing, the pain come le lor. I even sit down properly and I stayed in the toilet biting my left sleeve and let the pain subside. Slowly but surely, the pain diminished. But until yesterday, I still feel pain when I pee. But now I'm almost 90 percent okay. =)

And here's the image of my bladders/ureters/urethras. Decide which one is which yourself.

GO TRY IT, its once of a lifetime experience. haha!!

And one last thing, the nurses are very friendly at TTSH Endoscopy centre. From admin to health de to bring food to you one. All very caring and friendly. And at the end of everything when a nurse briefed me about post-procedures and things to take note of, I told her:"You guys are great, very caring and very nice. Happy working!!" Gave her a handshake and a bow. SHE dunno how happy lor!! and she still have to pretend a bit and tell me to drink more water and byebye. HAHA!!
