I've take up tuition as a part-time job. Currently, I have a 8 year old Korean student and Im teaching him Chinese. Though I'm well equipped with an A1 for Chinese, it is still very hard lor. Therefore I've come up with a "Star System".

This system works in such a way that I will award stars to my student for reasons such as good behaviour, good homework or a display of exceptional smart behaviour(which allows him to earn 10 fat stars at a go though rarely). Once he accumulates a certain number of stars he will get......

SWEETS/CHOCOLATES
Initially I offered him stickers (got tons of them with me since I like to collect stickers when I WAS YOUNG), but he isn't interested.

Get an A for Chinese, he will get this Heavenly Tin of Fruit Drops, which I think is quite impossible. This product is not redeemable with stars.

Bought these from Candy Empire recently, like 2 days ago. The small packet of gummies, those bear and cola gummies cost 40 Stars each, Burger costs 30 Stars while Choc Gold Coin costs 20 Stars each.

And these superbly colourful candies at 50 Stars each.

After 8 lessons, his Chinese improved!! not tremendously but with improvement. BUT, he is so relying on stars now. Whenever I gave him a exercise, he will ask me how many STARS... Realistic la. And moreover, he keep reminding me of his BIRTHDAY, MAY 9, which is coming...

I've decided to do some more drawing to kill time. Enlistment letter they don't want to send me, University admission letter also don't want to send me... I'm drawing my class photo of 41 people in pen on A3 paper.

Some look so ugly and here is a guessing game for whoever who still visits my blog.
